About SPIN
|
SPA is a subscriber to the SPIN database, a
service owned and operated by the InfoEd Corporation. The service is free to University
researchers. SPIN is a computerized database
of funding opportunities (federal, nonfederal, and corporate) designed to assist faculty
and administrators in the identification of external support for research, education, and
development projects. Computerized searches can save you many hours of manual searching
through volumes of outdated printed material. The information provided by a SPIN search
enables researchers to quickly and efficiently determine what funding is currently
available and how it can be obtained. The SPIN database catalogues over 6,000 current
programs of interest.
SPIN searches through SPA are available only to Wayne
State University researchers.
Any member of the University community with a computer
connected to the campus network may run his or her own SPIN search! You no longer have to
request searches through SPA. For WWW access to SPIN, follow the 'Run Your Own SPIN
Search' link below.
